The first Spanish Hall Suite (Winter Gardens) overnight investigation

March 8th, 2009

Supernatural Events ran the first Overnight Investigation in the Winter Gardens’ Spanish Hall Suite last night (7th/8th March 2009). And what a night it was! Some who attended experienced what can only be explained by the supernatural. Shadows of figures (three separate occurrences!), dancing lights, footsteps, cold spots and strange scents!

With a mixture of believers, sceptics and non-believers it was the perfect mix of investigators who walked around the Baronial Hall, the Renaissance Room and the Spanish Hall in the dead of night to try and find out what really goes on “behind the scenes”.

All three rooms delivered some kind of phenomena that could not be explained away scientifically. In fact some equipment suffered power failure when trying to record video or photographs, then when away from the area the equipment came “alive” again!

It is hoped we can have further investigations in the Spanish Hall Suite to delve deeper into its mysteries.

A fantastic night!

March Madness!

March 5th, 2009

So far March has been a very hectic and stressful month - and considering the date is only the 5th it’s a little worrying! So, why hectic and stressful? To put it plainly and simply; trying to organise tours around this time is madness (it’s true what they say about March Madness!).

Although things have been manic, there have been very positive results. The new Ghost Tours and other Supernatural Events have now been confirmed right through until September. The new diary has been published - don’t forget to have a look - click HERE.

There are ghost tours and investigations at all your favourite Blackpool locations and just added in the last day or two is a Coach Trip to Derby in September. It will be a fantastic journey. Not only will we get to visit Derby Gaol owned by none other than Richard Felix of Most Haunted fame, but we will be touring the haunted Friargate area of the city, visiting a couple of pubs (just for a rest of course… though I’m sure a quick drink will not be out of the question! Tea or hot chocolate of course!). But the fun won’t stop there - we’ll be having supper at the famous Mr Grundy’s where we’ll also get to investigate some of the haunted bedrooms and cellar in the hotel!

Oh - if you’re wondering why there are no ghost tours at Blackpool Tower Ballroom over this period, fear not my intrepid paranormal investigators - they will return later this year. The summer is the busiest time for the Tower which is open most evenings; hence, no tours for a little while.

Time to sign off for now. But do come back and find out what I’ve been up to every now and again. Why not join in with the new blog - add a comment or two yourself and let me know what you think of the tours, the locations, maybe you can give a few suggestions for new events or tours?

Happy Hauntings!

Ian Lawman Overnight Ghost Walk - The Grand Theatre, Blackpool

March 3rd, 2009

Friday 15th May at the Grand Theatre, Blackpool.

Join psychic medium, television and radio presenter, and writer IAN LAWMAN as he takes you on an Overnight Ghost Walk at Blackpool’s Victorian Grand Theatre and makes you question everything you thought you believed in.

Ian will also conduct Psychic and Meditation Workshops during this very special event.

Included in the Overnight Ghost Walk will be experiments, investigations and full use of paranormal investigative equipment.

Ian Lawman, perhaps better known as the Bad Boy of the Psychic World, after talking to the Kray Twins, passing and relaying messages from the other side to the underworld, Ian has now convinced some of the most hardened of sceptics with his confidence and laid-back style, even the notorious Dave Courtney was taken aback that much by something Ian had told him he wanted to put Ian’s proof in is new book.

Not only has Ian’s work shocked the underworld, he has many famous names under his belt, that consult with Ian’s gift. His work as stretched from the Living TV show Most Haunted, to Ian’s own show I’m Famous and Frightened, which reached over 2.5 million viewers, making this the biggest hit for Living TV.

Ian can be seen on LivingTV 2 in his show Living With The Dead. He is currently filming the new series at haunted locations throughout the UK; this will be broadcast in March.

The media now call Ian the Bad Boy with a style crossed between Jamie Oliver for his casual style and David Beckham for his mad and trendy looks. Ian has appeared on most daytime television shows along with programmes such as Big Brother’s Big Mouth and House Busters. He writes for Prediction and Chat’s It’s Fate magazines to name but a few and has been published in newspapers from the News of the World to the Daily Telegraph. He has appeared on every major BBC radio station and independents including Kerrang Radio! Currently Ian is completing his soon-to-be published book Ghost Hunter; Confessions of a Psychic Bad Boy.
